Question: How often is your range filled up?

Reply: Our company always keeps large production range, so the calculator line is updated by 20-30% during the year, but watch sales have more seasonal nature that is why the seasonal filling up takes place.

CALCULATORS

Question: Which calculator is more useful for an accountant and what features and advantages does it have?
Reply: The most convenient calculators for an accountant are the calculators of the desktop calculator series. Their advantages are very large displays, big keys that have concave shape and may be used for blind typing. Desktop calculators have double power, carry out mark up/down operations. АС-2361 model has function of correcting the steps. There is calculator model with USB-port (АС-4350). It’s indispensable for work with lap top. By connecting this calculator to a lap top it is possible to enter digits as well as to count using calculator keyboard.

Question:Are there multifunction calculators of your TM?

Reply: Yes, there are such models. Now the most interesting model is АС-4111. It is not large and has such functions as calendar, alarm clock and clock that shows time of all time zones. This model will fit any interior and will be a good assistant to you.

Question:Do you have calculators with metrical transformation function and currency converter in your range?

Reply: Yes we have such model. It is АС-2190. Besides currency conversion it can transform any measure of length, capacity, area, weight and temperature into similar unit measurement of other countries

Question: Which scientific calculator models will suit for pupils?

Reply: For senior pupil such models as АС-3102, АС-3105, АС-3106, АС-3222 will be useful. These models have all mathematic features.

Question: Which calculator models are programmable?

Reply: These are АС-3270 and АС-3612 calculator models.

ELECTRONIC TRANSLATORS

Question: Which electronic dictionaries have the biggest vocabulary database?

Reply: Translator model АТ-2094 has 1 400 000 words, translator model АТ-3000 has more than 1000 000 words and translator model АТ-2095 has about 6000000 words.

Question: Are there electronic translators or dictionaries that are able to make voice-over for the whole sentence?

Reply: At present АТ-2093, АТ-2094 and АТ-2095 models support voice-over feature for words, phrases as well as little sentences. New models such as АТ-1409 and АТ-1412 have enlarged vocabulary and sentence reserve and make voice-over for them in 14 languages.

Question: What kind of additional functions are there in translators?

Reply: Translators contain such additional function as notebook, calculator, watches (local time and universal time) alarm clock, calendar features. Many translators support currency conversion, wear and shoes size conformity feature, and allow you to play electronic game or check your linguistic knowledge with the help of tests.

Question: I want to go for a journey around the Orient, but it is impossible to study all languages. Can you help me in communication?

Reply: Yes, we developed a new model AT-1409 specially for those who like Asian countries and AT-1412 for those who prefer to go in Europe. The list of languages and additional information can be seen in description of these models.

Question:What is the maximum quantity of words in translators ASSISTANT?

Reply: There is a translation of words, phrases and sentences which are necessary for the traveler in our new model AT-4008.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL UNITS

CLOCKS

Question: What is accuracy movement of your watches? What is watches with quarts oscillator and what is it used for?

Reply: All clocks with quarts oscillator are very accurate and their inaccuracy is about several seconds per year. All our LED clock models supplied in Ukraine have quarts oscillators. This necessity is explained by the fact that in clocks without quarts oscillator accuracy movement is determined by the current frequency in the net. So as the current frequency in our nets is unstable and may change, quarts oscillator installation in clocks guarantees the accuracy movement regardless of the current frequency.

Question: What is the average life of the batteries?

Reply: The average life of the batteries in units of TM ASSISTANT is one – one and a half years for clocks (if you often use additional function (FM-tuner, projector, backlight) batteries’ life is considerably shorter) and one – three years for calculators, translators and dictionaries.

MINI WEATHER STATION

Question: What are the functions of mini weather station and what is it necessary for?

Reply: Mini weather station work is based on tracking barometric pressure change tendency. Mini weather station fixes pressure, analyzes change tendency and displays the forecast. This unit measures indoor humidity, inner and outer temperature, has moon phase graph and many other functions which you can study more detailed in our catalogue on our site.

Question:What do the terms “dew point” and “heat index” mean?

Reply: Dew point at given barometric pressure is called the temperature to which the air must be cooled, so that the water vapor have attained saturated condition and begun to condense in dew. Dew point determines relative humidity. The higher the relative humidity is, the higher and the closer to the factual air temperature the dew point is. The lower the relative humidity is, the lower than the factual air temperature the dew point is. If the relative humidity is 100% than the dew point coincides with the factual temperature. Heat index is estimated on the ground of the temperature and relative humidity of the air. If the value of the relative humidity is little enough than consequently the air can quicker “accept” human body exhaling and the skin temperature is cooling quicker by means of exhaling. If the relative humidity and temperature are high than naturally the sward runs additionally hot.

MP3, MP4 PLAYERS

Question: Are the drivers for MP players being upgraded? How can they be upgraded?

Reply: Our players do not need drivers because when connected to PC they are recognized automatically. For updating, formatting, converting video files the drivers are provided on the disc.

Question: What is updating of the player, what is it for and how can it be done?

Reply: Updating is a renewal of operational system of the player. It is performed in case of incorrect work of the players. It should be done in special service bureaus we do not recommend to do it by yourself.

Question: What is USB flash disc, how to use it and is it nee a driver to be installed?

Reply: USB flash disc is built-in memory with 256 Mb/ 512 Mb/ 1 Gb/ 2 Gb size in which as on the hard disc driver of your computer you can store your files (they can have any format, e.g. *.doc, *.xls, *.jpg, not only music formats mp3, wma, asf). In order to write down files in players’ memory connect the player to the computer USB port. Computer will automatically recognize the player QUMO (if your operational system is Windows’98 you should install the driver beforehand – ref. to Backup section) and a new disc – “Removable disc”- will appear in Windows explorer. You can use it similarly as logical disc on the hard disc driver of the computer: it is possible to create, paste, rename, move, cut and remove any file or folder in unlimited quantity. When the work is finished remove the player from the computer. After removing you can look through the content of the memory on player’s display with the help of the joystick: the catalogue tree will be displayed on the screen, you can look it through by pushing the joystick.

Question:How can I format MP player?

Reply: The player should be formatted in case of its malfunction in order to delete possible mistakes from memory. But at the same time all the information will be deleted. In order to format the player choose the option “Format in the menu”.

Question:Why is in Windows the shown build-in memory size of the player smaller than noted on the box (128 Mb, 256 Mb, 512 Mb, 1 Gb)?

Reply: Part of the memory is used by the system. This is not a mistake; this is related to the architecture of the software of the player.

Question: How much music can be record on the player with memory size of 256 Mb, 512 Mb, 1 Gb approximately?

Reply: For about 50 or 60 standard compositions (with the duration of 128 kbps) can be written in 256 Mb memory, 120 files in 512 Mb and 250 files in 1 Gb. Nevertheless it should be mention that this information is approximate and the size of the file may vary for different compositions as well as for files with different bitrates.

Question: What are bitrates, and what bitrate is optimal?

Reply: The bitrate is the index of information quantity by which one second of sounding is encoded. The higher it is the less distortions are there and the closer encoded composition to the original is. The most wide-spread bitrate is 128 kbps: it is customary to consider it the optimal ratio of the size and quality of reduced in such manner file. You can also find files with 192 kbps bitrate rather often. The maximum bitrate supported by the programs and units which work with MP3 is 320 kbps. Few players can distinguish aurally MP3 file with such bitrate from the record on the disc. But you should remember that with the increase of bitrate the size of the file memory also sharply increases. Thus standard 4 minutes’ composition with 128 kbps occupies 4 megabytes while with 256 kbps more than 7.5 Mb.

Question: What record bitrate is better to choose?

Reply: Most of the players give an opportunity to change bitrate when recording from voice-recorder or radio. When choosing wanted bitrate everyone should remember that the bigger value is not always mean better quality (because of the great amount of noise), but sharply increases the size of the memory. Thus when recording from the voice-recorder we do not recommend to set the value more than 80 kbps and more than 128 kbps when recording from radio.

Question:What is variable bitrate and what is it needed for?

Reply: Variable bitrate or variable bitrate (VBR) format appeared relatively not long ago. Every concrete piece of music has its own extent of complexity. It is necessary one piece bigger bitrate for high-quality reproduction and it is necessary another less for high-quality reproduction as it contains less essential harmonics. In MP3 creation mode with variable bitrate the coder itself more or less correctly defines the necessary bitrate for each 50- millisecond fragment (depending on its complexity and given parameters) and encodes it with the very bitrate. Variable bitrate give an opportunity to reduce file size while saving the same quality: there is no excessiveness. Roughly speaking there is no necessity to code silence with 256 kbps bitrate if it can be reproduced with the same quality with 64 kbps bitrate. Variable bitrate is more typical to apply in OGG format files.

Question: What is OGG format?

Reply: OGG or rather “Ogg Vorbis” is the most advanced format of music files. It has several advantages – let’s start from the fact that ogg-files are more compact for about 10% and higher-quality for about 50% than MP3 files. In contrast to MP3 OGG format supports unlimited quantity of predefined fields (Title, Artist, Album, Track, Date, Genre, Comment) and unlimited number of other fields with their own titles and contents (unfortunately, only textual yet). The particle Vorbis means the method of signal encoding. Owing to the fact that Vorbis is “naturally-born” VBR (variable bitrate) it does not tied to the bitrate “levels” (96, 112, 128, 160, 192…) but codes each frame with that bitrate which corresponds more to current conditions (it can be 113 or 178 or 234); “bitrate peeling” function – possibility of bitrate decreasing without recoding – is built in the codec algorithm. Data pressed by Vorbis algorithm take on average less place than those pressed by MP3 algorithm or at the same size will sound better.

Question: What is WMA format?

Reply: In order to maintain the possibility of online high-quality music broadcasting and to save copyrights at that Microsoft company developed alternative to MP3 WMA format that theoretically do not let to copy files of that format allowing its reproduction only by special programs. And though almost at once means of evading these restrictions intercepting audio flows appeared Microsoft still continues to promote WMA format and that’s why all modern players support it as well as MP3.

Question:.What are ID3 tags?

Reply: MP3 files may contain artist name, title, album name, its release year etc. The totality of all these data is called ID3 tags; some players read them and show on the display.

DIGITAL PHOTO FRAMES

Question: Is it possible to choose different variants of pictures in slideshow mode?

Reply: Yes, of course. There is such a possibility. For more detailed information study the instruction.

Question: What is the difference between photoframe and digital photo-album?

Reply: Is the frame or photo-album? Electronic photo frame can be easily confused with digital photo-album, and their functions are very alike. But there are some differences: digital photo-album is a portable media player with volumetric hard disc driver where all the shot material is put to free some space on the flash-card. The photoframe has another purpose: it is a stationary thing, its place is on the table, wall or book shelf. It is compact but not designed for transportation.
